We’re proud to spotlight Friends of Ashe County Animal Shelter, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of animals in need right here in our community. From emergency medical care to adoption assistance and rescue transport, this organization goes above and beyond to make sure every pet has a chance at a safe, loving future. This month, a portion of each picnic or event booked will help fund their lifesaving work—providing care, comfort, and second chances to our four-legged neighbors.
Why we chose this charity:
As an animal advocate and longtime rescue volunteer, supporting organizations like Friends of Ashe County Animal Shelter is deeply personal to me. I’ve spent over a decade involved in animal rescue, and I know the heart, hard work, and healing that go into giving animals a second chance. This organization represents everything I believe in when it comes to compassion and community care.
